The Department of French Studies at the University of Waterloo offers a wide variety of excellent undergraduate studies programs (French Teaching Specialization, Honours, Arts and Business/French, Minors, Certificates) and graduate studies programs (M.A. and Ph.D.). If you wish to study and live in French, our Department should be part of your career plans!
Please take a few minutes to check our programs, our cultural activities (Cercle français, Café-rencontre). Various exchange programs in Québec and France will also allow you to experience these rich cultures first hand. Our programs respond to student needs, ranging from French language improvement to career preparation (teaching, business, public service, etc.) or cutting edge research.

The Department of French Studies is located on the third floor of the Modern Languages (ML) building. The main office is in room 333. Please consult the campus map to ascertain the building's location.
