L’objectif général de la Chaire de recherche du Canada en études des minorités est de comprendre le travail théâtral au sein des minorités linguistiques officielles au Canada, au moment où se multiplient les crises.
Objectifs à court terme (1-5 ans) :
- recueillir, décrire et analyser les représentations et les expériences utopiques des minorités franco-canadiennes;
- documenter et développer un réseau communautaire d’échanges de connaissances, de partage d’expertises et de promotion d’artistes franco-canadiens;
- élaborer de nouveaux cadres conceptuels et méthodologiques transférables pour des changements systémiques axés sur les minorités dans l’enseignement supérieur en théâtre au Canada;
- co-créer un espace de ressources pédagogiques bilingue et accessible.
The overall goal of the Canada Research Chair in Minority Studies is to understand and enhance what it means to be an official linguistic minority learning and working in theatre in Canada today, at a time of multiplying crises. To achieve this goal, the following short-term (1-5 years) objectives will be pursued:
- to collect, describe and analyze utopian minority French-language performances and experiences in Canada;
- to document and amplify a community network created to exchange knowledge, share expertise, and facilitate the recognition of French-speaking artists from across Canada;
- to collaboratively develop new, transferable conceptual and methodological frameworks for minority-focused systemic change in post-secondary theatre education in Canada;
- to co-create a broadly accessible bilingual hub for educational resources.
