Thank you for registering for a campus tour! We are excited to welcome you to campus.
Please bring only the amount of guests that were indicated in your original booking; tour sizes are limited and most tour times are fully booked.
In the event of severe weather, your tour may be cancelled on short notice. We will contact you by email if we need to cancel the tour for any reason.
Directions and parking
Our address is 200 University Ave W, Waterloo Ontario.
Paid parking ($7) is available in Lot C. Please refer to our parking instructions to see where Lot C is located and how to pay for parking.
Group tours
If you are bringing a large vehicle (bus), paid parking is available in lot X (see location on Google Maps). Lot X is located by the School of Optometry and Vision Science on our north campus. You can drop your group in the loading zone near the Tatham Centre before parking.
Arriving by public transit
Consider taking transit to the University of Waterloo's main campus.
- If you're travelling from another city, GO Transit has a terminal adjacent to the Waterloo campus.
- If you are travelling from the local area, consider taking Grand River Transit. The ION LRT and several bus routes stop on the campus.
- The Kitchener VIA Rail station is 6 kilometres from the university.
Checking in for your tour
Tours will depart from the Visitors Centre in the Tatham Centre (TC).
Tours usually depart at their scheduled times even if not all groups have checked in. We recommend arriving on campus 20 minutes before your tour to provide time to walk to SCH and check in with our staff.
If you're running late, please call us at 519-888-4567, ext. 43614. Please note that if you're more than 15 minutes late, we cannot guarantee that we can catch you up to your tour.
What to bring
- Appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather as a significant portion of the 90-minute, three-kilometre tour is outdoors.
- A credit card for parking.
- A water bottle. Refill stations are located around campus.
