Important Dates & Next Steps

When are the important deadlines?

First thing you should do is celebrate that you received an offer to University of Waterloo Mathematics! After that, be sure to take the following next steps:

  1. Accept your offer by June 1
June 1, 2026, is the last day to accept your offer and begin studies in fall (September) 2026
  2. Submit your application for Campus Housing by June 8
Submit the First-Year Guarantee Residence application and non-refundable deposit by June 8, 2026, at 11:55 pm EDT. All students who submit this application along with the deposit by the deadline are guaranteed a spot in residence in first year. The application is the first step in the housing application process for the University of Waterloo.
  3. Prepare for fall 2026 course selection
From June 18, 2026, until June 25, 2026you will need to select your courses for fall 2026 and choose which co-op sequence you wish to have (if applicable). Choosing your co-op sequence is first-come-first-served but course selection is not (you just need to complete it by the deadline!)

If you have any questions about what to do next or are looking for more information about Waterloo Math programs and student life, book a 1:1 meeting with a member of our Recruitment Team.

How do I accept my offer of admission?

You will need to accept your Offer of Admission by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on June 1, 2026, unless otherwise specified on your offer.

Follow the instructions on your Offer of Admission (most students will accept their offer through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) website). If you have problems accepting your Offer of Admission, please call the OUAC at 519-823-1063.

Next, you need to log in to Quest to review conditions on your Offer of Admission and the deadline for meeting those.

How do I apply to live in residence?

After accepting your Offer of Admission, you must complete the First-Year Guarantee Residence application by June 8, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. EDT.

Once you have been matched with a residence, you will need to pay your non-refundable housing deposit via Visa, Master Card or American Express Credit Card.
