Psychology I/O Colloquium presents Richard P. DeShon, Michigan State University

Data Wrangling in Organizational Science

Headshot of Rick DeShon
The data organizational scientists work with are rapidly increasing in magnitude, velocity, and complexity. Data errors and analytic mistakes are, concomitantly, more likely.  To motivate the talk, recent high visibility data and data analysis mistakes will be highlighted. Then examples of large, complex data will be presented.  The remainder of the talk will focus on data 'best practices' emphasizing data fidelity testing, data cleaning, data scoring, and restructuring data into 'Tidy' form.
