Dr. Neil Hester Awarded 2023 Best Social Cognition Paper Award

Congratulations to Dr. Neil Hester, recipient of the 2023 Best Social Cognition Paper Award by the International Social Cognition Network (ISCON) for his paper, Hester, N., & Hehman, E. (2023). Dress is a fundamental component of person perception. Personality and Social Psychology Review, 27(4), 414-433.

The awards committee noted that they received a large number of excellent nominations and that Neil’s paper was selected for its “integrative and distinctive contribution to social cognition scholarship.” They further noted that “The paper will undoubtedly generate discussion for years to come and serve as a springboard for future theoretical and empirical investigations. We look forward to seeing researchers draw from this work to further unpack the nuances and complexities of person perception.”
