  • Favorite UW Memory: My favourite memory at UWaterloo was having a great living experience at REV, meeting my best friends, and the late nights of studying around campus with friends. With all the school stress, we always found a way to have fun!
  • Favorite Psychology Memory: This major helped me learn about the many aspects of the human mind and how powerful it is. I enjoyed the SONA studies and can’t forget the many times I got lost in the PAS building.
  • What I'll Miss Most: Pursuing my undergrad at UW was the best choice I’ve made. It was an experience that I will always look back at. I’m going to miss the community and the campus life where so many memories were made.

  • Favourite UW Memory: When I was in first-year Psych with Toni Serafini, I said a clever comment to the class which brought on a moment of silence, before a slow, rolling clap emerged throughout the huge lecture hall to recognize what I addressed.
  • Favourite Psychology Memory: The confusion of purchasing a sweater and having no idea how to pick it up while not in town that term. That sweater ended up passed along a chain of people before finally getting to me to keep.
  • What I'll Miss Most: Not the Geese, possibly the Campus, definitely running into friends in casual encounters to catch up together!

 Graduate: Navi Dhaliwal

  • Favourite UW Memory: I loved the start of term Carnivals! I went to most of the fall term ones and absolutely had a blast every time! Favorite memory is one year during the Carnival there was also an arcade in the SLC and I spent literally the entire night playing this RPG game with my best friend and we had to leave before the last level! I still dream about playing that game sometimes...
  • Favourite Psychology Memory: I have so many amazing memories from all the labs I worked in during my undergrad! Working closely with those professors and their grad students created these amazing little communities to be in! It was always a blast to have end of term parties or celebrate new publications, and the work was always interesting and innovative!
  • What I'll Miss Most: I'm going to miss the community, there's something so special about meeting people in undergrad because we're all in the same boat in some ways but also have such interesting and diverse experiences! There's no other time in life when we can forge such strong bonds!

 Graduate: Amie Durston

  • Favourite UW Memory: I have many great memories at UW to pick a favourite. All of my memories centre around the great people I met while at UW - they really made the experience for me. Some experiences I am fond of: Donning at Renison, being a part of the Ambassador team, exploring campus (often in search of a great photo shoot spot), and hanging out in uptown Waterloo (skating, coffee shops, patios).
  • Favourite Psychology Memory: Again, too many to pick one, so here is a list: - Late-night study sessions in QNC (spring 2019-if you know you know) - Having random people walk into psych 211/317 (poor Dr. Seeds) - Getting to know professors & grad students, through which I found some amazing mentors & friends - Hanging out with psych pals in and out of class - you all are a hoot
  • What I'll miss the most: Matching my other the answers, the people. I met lifelong friends and mentors here. Also, the undergrad experience, which I am already feeling nostalgic about. Although I studied most of my degree away (by choice), the times where I hung out with friends, did new things, just let loose and had fun are the times I will treasure & look back on forever.

  • Favourite UW Memory: The early mornings and the late nights of studying in SLC, STC, SJ2, and even the REV cafeteria, honestly, anywhere where we can plug our laptop chargers in are my favourite memories. I have met and bonded with many students who are undergoing the same stress and the same pressures of school, does not necessarily mean we got a whole lot of work done, but we found ways to have fun despite our looming deadlines.
  • Favourite Psychology Memory: I enjoyed meeting and getting to know likeminded individuals within the Psychology program. Learning about the many aspects of the human mind and behaviour is something I truly enjoyed in my time as a Psychology major.
  • What I'll miss most: I will miss the student community the most. Many of the friends I have made and the people I have met are from different cities and countries so it will be a while until we can see each other and spend time together the way we used to when we were UWaterloo students.

  • Favourite Psychology Memory: I personally enjoyed the aspect of understanding myself more deeply when it pertains to Psychology. This major helped me to study more effectively, understand the mental aspects of people, prioritization and discipline. That's why I think everyone should at least understand the human mind and why it is so powerful.
  • What I'll miss most: Just an experience that I can never replicate since I am graduating, it is very nostalgic to reflect back on some of the very delightful memories that I have had. I remember going to DP and looking at how studious everybody was especially during midterm time. This in turn propelled me to do my best as well.
