First, the quality of average marriages has weakened over time. Second, the quality of the best marriages has strengthened over time. In tandem, these two consequences have pushed marriage toward an all-or-nothing state.

Against Empathy

The Accelerator Centre celebrated one of its biggest graduating classes last Thursday as four startups left the nest at the local high tech business incubator.

The most recent graduates — Ecopia, InTheChat, Knowledge in Development and Trending.Info — bring the total to 55 startups that have graduated from the centre in the last decade.

Annually, an award valued at $750.00 is provided to a graduating undergraduate student enrolled in any program at the University of Waterloo. Selection are based on academic excellence, prior research experience related to child language development, and a demonstrated commitment to future postgraduate study in the area of child language development. No application is required. This fund is made possible by a donation from Knowledge in Development Inc.

This year, the award was given to two recipients.
