If you are enrolled in PSYCH 499A Fall 2016, please attend the thesis orientation meeting on Friday, September 9, 10:00-11:20 am, in PAS 4032.
Report the name of your thesis supervisor to Ayala Stein by Friday, September 16, 2016.
Progress reports for PSYCH 499A must be signed by your thesis supervisor and submitted to Dr. Richard Eibach's mailbox no later than 12:00 noon Thursday, December 22, 2016. See the Thesis Handbook for further details regarding PSYCH 499A.
Thesis reviewer nominations must be submitted to Dr. Eibach’s email (reibach@uwaterloo.ca) no later than 12:00 noon on September 23, 2016 if you are concurrently enrolled in PSYCH 499A/B and no later than 12:00 noon on December 5, 2016 if you are enrolled in only PSYCH 499A (not PSYCH 499B.
PSYCH 499B Fall 2016
If you are enrolled in PSYCH 499B Fall 2016, please contact Ayala to book a date/time for your oral presentation of your research proposal. Presentations are scheduled for one hour and occur during the lecture period of the term on Tuesdays at 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:30pm. Due to some scheduling conflicts, we have added Thursdays at 11:30, 12:30 and 1:30 as an option to present as well.
Please check the current presentation schedule and speak with your supervisor regarding a mutually agreeable date and time before you contact Ayala.

Deadlines and important dates
Dates listed as tentative or pending will be updated when available from the Registrar's Office:
- December 22, 2016 (noon) - deadline to submit your honours thesis to the Psychology Undergraduate Advisor (Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology PAS 3007) for marking. If an extension is required, please discuss with your thesis advisor and report the revised target date for completion to Emily no later than December 22. Pay close attention to the remaining dates particularly if an extension is requested.

Each faculty nominates a student for the Governor General Silver Medal (university level) and the Alumni Gold Medal (faculty level). Each department in the Faculty of Arts nominates the top student from each department for the departmental award. Nominees for awards cannot have any outstanding grades (e.g., INC, NMR, or IP).
NOTE: Typically, only honours students who have final grades for all course work (including PSYCH 499A/B/C) by the first week of May can be considered for these awards. Students whose overall and psychology averages fall in the 88-100% range are strongly encouraged to adhere to the thesis submission deadline noted above. -

take
a
few

to
collect
those

paperwork
to
the

sufficient
time
to
do
the
coding
necessary
on
the
student's
record
before
the
deadline.
Keep
in
mind
that
the
Registrar's
Office
is
dealing
with
a
heavy
work
load
in
the
month
of
May.
