Tanya
has
always
been
interested
in
technology
and
how
things
work
so
when
it
came
time
to
choose
her
education,
enrolling
in
the
Software
Engineering
program
at
Waterloo
was
a
no
brainer.
Though
choosing
to
study
at
Waterloo
meant
that
she'd
be
moving
from
her
home
in
India,
she
was
excited
about
the
opportunity
to
study
in
a
reputable
program,
network
with
high-tech
companies,
and
set
up
roots
in
Canada.
With
the
help
of
the
co-op
program
at
Waterloo,
Tanya
was
able
to
turn
those
opportunities
into
reality.
While
working
in
roles
at
Siemens,
Scotia
Capital,
and
Research
in
Motion,
Tanya
earned
the
experience
and
confidence
she
needed
to
succeed
in
her
program.
"I
got
a
lot
of
hands-on
experience
with
professionals
in
the
industry.
At
the
end
of
5
years,
I
know
what
I
want
to
be
doing
with
my
career."
Currently,
Tanya
is
working
with
Toronto-based
company
Intangent
as
a
Software
Consultant.
