The next Waterloo-local ACM-style programming contest will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in MC 3003.
All members of the UW community are invited to try their programming skill in Racket, C, C++, Java, Pascal, Python or Scala!
The results of this local contest will be used to select the UW teams for the international ACM competition. We will send three or more teams of three students each to the East Central North America Regional in Windsor on October 27–28, 2017.
If we do well there, one team will advance to the World Finals in Beijing, China in April 2018!
The contest will run from 1 p.m. sharp until 4 p.m., and will be followed by pizza. A practice contest will be held in the morning to allow contestants, especially those competing for the first time, to get their account set up and become familiar with the contest environment.
Contestants participating in the practice contest should arrive by 10:30 am in MC 3003.
For out-of-town participants, it is possible to participate remotely using a web-based system, but local participants are encouraged to attend in person if possible.
