Computer science PhD student squashes UWaterloo Athletic Awards

Cameron Seth, a PhD student at the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, took home the Totzke Trophy at the University of Waterloo’s 64th annual Athletic Awards Banquet.

The Totzke Trophy, also known as the Male Athlete of the Year award, recognizes a student for his athletic skill, sportsmanship, citizenship, and academic proficiency, as well as for outstanding contributions to the University of Waterloo’s athletic program. Cameron is the first squash athlete to win the Totzke Trophy in 17 years. His trophy also comes ten years after winning the Shield of Excellence as an undergraduate.

Cameron is one of Canada’s top squash players, ranking 8th nationally in the men’s division.
