IEEE elevates Professor Srinivasan Keshav to grade of Senior Member

photo of Srinivasan KeshavProfessor Srinivasan Keshav has been elevated to the grade of Senior Member by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, an honour bestowed to IEEE members who have made significant contributions to the profession.

About one in ten IEEE’s members holds this prestigious grade, which requires extensive experience, and reflects professional maturity and documented achievements of significance.

Keshav will receive a Senior Member Plaque from IEEE, as well as one-year membership in an IEEE Society, which offers access to technical innovation, cutting-edge information, networking opportunities, among other exclusive member benefits.

“Keshav is a founding member of the Information Systems and Science for Energy research group and an accomplished computer scientist who applies his expertise in computer networking to discovering innovative solutions to large-scale problems in energy systems,” said Mark Giesbrecht, Director of the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science. “This complements Keshav’s recognition as a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery in 2012. Congratulations on this most recent career milestone and well-deserved honour and recognition from peers at IEEE.”
