Khuzaima Daudjee elevated to grade of Senior Member by IEEE

photo of Khuzaima DaudjeeKhuzaima Daudjee has been elevated to the grade of Senior Member by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, an honour bestowed to IEEE members who have made significant contributions to the profession.

Only one in ten of IEEE’s members holds this prestigious grade, which is conferred to those with extensive experience and reflects professional maturity and significant research achievements.

Khuzaima will receive a Senior Member Plaque from IEEE, as well as one-year membership in an IEEE Society, which offers access to technical innovation, cutting-edge information, networking opportunities, among other exclusive member benefits.

“Khuzaima brings a strong systems-oriented approach to our Data Systems research group,” said Mark Giesbrecht, Director of the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science. “He is a world-class researcher on high-performance large-scale data management and a great contributor to the Cheriton School of Computer Science and to his research community. This recognition is most deserved.”

IEEE is among the influential and respected professional organizations in computer science. It is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity through its more than 400,000 members in over 160 countries, and its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards and professional and educational activities.
