The
David
R.
Cheriton
School
of
Computer
Science
at
the
University
of
Waterloo
is
hosting
its
second
annual
Undergraduate
Research
Opportunities
Conference
(UROC)
this
coming
fall.
Following
enthusiastic
demand
from
last
year,
the
School
is
extending
this
year’s
workshop
to
a
4-day,
fully
funded
event.
The
conference
offers
students
the
opportunity
to
explore
research
through
a
series
of
group-work
sessions
by
tackling
a
mini
project
alongside
a
professor.
Social
events
and
panels
will
give
attendees
the
chance
to
connect
with
current
graduate
students,
faculty
members
and
industry
leaders
to
find
out
more
about
the
benefits
of
graduate
studies.
The
conference
will
take
place
September
29
–
October
2,
2016
at
the
University
of
Waterloo
and
is
open
to
all
undergraduate
students
in
the
third
or
fourth
year
of
their
program.
Participation
is
selective
and
decisions
will
be
made
by
end
of
August.
