Requests to change an exam date are granted only for documented illness or exceptional circumstances outside your control. Elective arrangements (such as travel plans, coop interviews, weddings or social events) are not acceptable reasons. The decision to grant a request is up to your instructor and/or the department. The form must be submitted no later than four weeks before your exam date.
If you require an alternate exam date and live within 100 km of Waterloo, you will be required to write at one of the alternate exam sessions on-campus.
If an alternate exam date is granted, a $50 administration charge may apply.
Complete the Exam Change Request form and include the appropriate documentation. We will review your request with your instructor and contact you when a decision has been made. We will not contact you until after exam schedule has been released.
