2026 Graduation and Awards Reception

The Department of French Studies is delighted to be hosting our annual Graduation and Awards Reception in celebration of student achievements.

Please find the event details below:

  • Date: Thursday, June 18, 2026
  • Time: 4:30 PM - 6 PM (immediately following the Convocation Ceremony)
  • Location: Modern Languages Atrium
  • Join us for a drop-in reception with light refreshments and sweet treats!

This is a wonderful opportunity to gather with your fellow students, professors, academic advisors and loved ones to mark this special milestone. The Department will have a small gift for graduating students and awards winners

As part of the celebration, we’re preparing a special presentation to highlight our graduating students. We kindly ask invited students to:

  1. Submit a photo of yourself (headshot or a favourite candid)
  2. Share a short témoignage (approx. 100–150 words) reflecting on your experience in the French Studies program (in both English and French) to be highlighted on our website.

Please RSVP and submit your photo and témoignage by June 1, 2026 using the webform below, or by emailing the French Undergraduate Advisor, Claire Newbigging (email: cnewbigging@uwaterloo.ca)
