Any Grade 12 U English -- A minimum grade of 70 is required

Recommended high school courses

The following courses can be helpful background for your studies; however, it will not impact your likelihood of admission if you do not take these courses.

  • For majors such as Anthropology; Political Science; Psychology; Sexualities, Relationships, and Families; Social Development Studies; or Sociology: Mathematics of Data Management is recommended.
  • If you're thinking of Economics as a major, Calculus and Vectors and Advanced Functions or equivalents are strongly recommended. Students without this background can take the necessary mathematics courses during their first year.

Advanced Placement (AP) courses

General requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses, including all required courses.
  • Grade 12 U or M courses must be completed through schools that are accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
  • Admission averages depend on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available. The range listed above is based on previous years.

Notes

You need to provide an English language test score if your four most recent years of full-time education have not been in an English language school system.
