Graduate career ready
After graduating from Waterloo, Economics graduate Arwin moved to the U.S. to pursue opportunities in consulting and corporate strategy on a more global scale.
Prepare for a career in the U.S.
Waterloo gave me two things that shaped my career in the U.S.: early exposure to real-world work through co-op, and a strong foundation in macro-level problem solving and analytical thinking.
My co-op terms gave me experience navigating different work cultures and collaborating across borders. When I graduated, I already had a lot of practical experience, which stood out to employers.
Waterloo's reputation in the U.S.
Many employers in tech and consulting were already familiar with the calibre of Waterloo graduates and co-op students, having hired them before. The strength of the co-op program and the quality of graduates continues to set Waterloo apart.
Within professional circles, especially in engineering, technology, and consulting, Waterloo is highly respected.
