Celina Bowman-Smith, a graduate student in the Department of Psychology, discusses her team's research on children's beliefs about improbable events on The British Psychological Society website.  Celina's article shows that children are more likely to think improbable events are possible if they are in distant locations.  The article is available on the

Dr. Dillon Browne, Psychology's newest faculty member, is featured on CBC where he talks about his research on technoference, or the way that devices disrupt our lives, and its impact on family life. 

Robin Mazumder, a Ph.D candidate in the Psychology department received a President's Community Impact Award on December 13, 2018.  Robin was recognized for his work with the City of Kitchener Cycling & Trails Advisory Committee and as Guest Librarian to the Kitchener Public Library in 2016. He partnered with the Waterloo Region Local Health Integration Network and the Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre to make light therapy lamps available at all KPL locations and to the Waterloo campus.  Congratulations Robin!
