What is the National College Health Assessment (NCHA) health survey?

The NCHA health survey is designed to provide information about student health behaviours, perceptions and attitudes. The information will help us tailor health programming and resources to improve student services on campus.

When is NCHA health survey hosted?

In 2019, the NCHA health survey will open on January 15. Check your @uwaterloo.ca email to see if you have been chosen.  If you receive the invite to participate from NCHA-WEB@acha.org, please complete the survey.

Why should I complete the survey?

Hearing from Waterloo students first hand will help us understand the significant health priorities of Waterloo students and to identify the most common factors affecting student health and student success on campus.

What is the National College Health Assessment?

NCHA stands for National College Health Assessment. It is the survey instrument used to assess student health habits, behaviours and perceptions. University of Waterloo Campus Wellness is conducting the survey using the National College Health Assessment Web survey (NCHA-WEB), with the help of the American College Health Association (ACHA).

Why are only some students selected to participate?

We are inviting 1/2 of the student population, about 18,000 students, to complete the survey. The students are randomly selected to participate. We do not know which students are receiving the email request to participate.

Check your @uwaterloo.ca email to see if you have been chosen. If you receive the invite to participate from NCHA-WEB@acha.org, please complete the survey.
