Computer Science student awarded national co-op prize

While her expertise is managing risk, the University of Waterloo computer science professor specializes in how to avoid huge losses on the stock market when random events hit unexpectedly.
Professor Srinivasan Keshav of the Cheriton School has been named a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) for his contributions to computer communication networks and systems.
At Facebook’s College Hackathon, Waterloo beats 17 other teams with its social version of Siri.
