Accounting and Financial Management admission requirements for American (US) system students

Program requirements

Grade 12 English, minimum final grade of 80%. AP Calculus and Algebra (Pre Calculus), minimum final grade of 80% in each. Minimum final Grade 12 average of 88%.

General requirements

  • High school diploma with prerequisite courses completed at the AP level and/or Grade 12 senior academic level. Your school must hold current accreditation from a recognized American regional education body.
  • You’re encouraged to combine your high school transcript and high school profile (including accreditation, grading scheme, AP course offerings, etc.) into a single pdf and upload that document.

Notes

  • The School of Accounting and Finance Admissions Assessment (SAFAA) online interview (part 1) and trait assessment (part 2) are required.
  • If your first language is not English, you may need to meet our English language requirements.
  • Are you an Ontario student taking IB courses? Admission to Waterloo is based on your Ontario Grade 12 U and M courses. If you're taking IB Math, your school will convert this course to MCV4U, MHF4U, and/or MDM4U. You can take any IB Math course and be eligible for admission as long as you receive Ontario credits for both MCV4U and MHF4U. Learn about possible transfer credit.
