Computer Science admission requirements for Chinese system high school students

Program requirements

Senior 3 Mathematics, minimum final grade of 90%. Senior 3 English. Overall average 85% in Senior 3.

The Admission Information Form is required for admission to this program.

General requirements

Applying from a high school in China?

If you’re admitted to Waterloo, you’ll be required to submit your graduation diploma through China Credentials Verification (CSSD-Parchment Portal Service). Your official final high school transcript must be mailed directly to us by your school.

Requests that are processed by CSSD will be sent electronically to Waterloo. You will only need to have your school mail us your official final high school transcript.

If you receive an offer of admission, you must submit to Waterloo your official final high school transcript (with completion of at least five Senior 3 academic courses) and your graduation diploma.

We reserve the right to withdraw your Offer of Admission if there is a discrepancy between documents submitted and the official final results submitted by CSSD or your high school.

Applying from a college or university in China?

Notes

• Participating in the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest and/or the Euclid Mathematics Contest is not required for admission, but writing one of these contests is required for some Faculty of Mathematics scholarships.
• You need to provide an English language test score if your four most recent years of full-time education have not been in an English language school system.
• Required courses completed more than three years ago may need to be updated. Email the admissions office for more information.
