Staff performance appraisal season is now upon us. Please ensure that you review, document and discuss your performance for 2019 with your manager. Your performance appraisal should include a meaningful discussion that highlights your accomplishments in 2019 and goals for 2020.

The Pension & Benefits Committee has reviewed the maxima corresponding with retiree life, extended health, and dental benefit provisions and approved the following changes effective January 1st, 2020:

The Human Resource office will be closed on Thursday, December 19th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a full staff meeting. The HR reception desk will be closed during this time. Normal operations will resume at 1:30 p.m

NOTICE: We are currently investigating an issue with viewing the Faculty and Staff Salary Increase Advices on mobile devices and in Safari (Mac default browser). Mac users should open advices in Google Chrome and mobile device users should use a laptop or desktop until we find a resolution.
Do you need help with Workday? Human Resources will be visiting each faculty to to assist with onboarding for new student hires (co-ops and graduate research/graduate teaching assistants) and any inquiries related to the system. Drop by our Pop-up between 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. for assistance.
All new graduate student employees will be required to complete the onboarding process in Workday, which includes setting up banking information for direct deposit. The onboarding process needs to be completed as soon as possible to ensure that pay can be issued at the end of each month. Graduate students who have completed onboarding in a previous term will be prompted to verify or update their information. If you need assistance, please contact hrhelp@uwaterloo.ca or ext. 35935.
