About UWaterloo’s Human Resources Partners (HRPs):

The University of Waterloo’s Human Resources Partners (HRPs) provide support and guidance to our faculties and administrative support units, typically working with an area’s senior leadership team and managers to help guide and inform overall University policy and procedures.  HRPs are trusted advisors, accountable for providing proactive, strategic, client focused comprehensive HR advice and support to all client groups with organizational policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. HRPs counsel managers and staff on employee/labour relations matters including performance management, conflict resolution and workplace counselling,

Our HRPs develops effective working relationships with client groups, senior management, the University of Waterloo Staff Association (UWSA), the Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo (FAUW), the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 793, and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).

Each HRP collaborates with their designated client area to provide a full range of strategic support, which can include organizational transformations, lead on complex human resources related processes, as well as develop, implement, and oversee HR-based solutions and services.
