Congratulations to Sophia Tran, Alyssa Smith, and Megan Kelly, who recently received awards for their presentations at CPA and CSBBCS!
Sophia Tran won the Peter Graf Award for Excellence in Brain and Cognitive Science Research for her talk entitled “Drawing Compared to Writing in a Diary Enhances Recall of Autobiographical Memories” at CPA in Calgary this June.
Alyssa Smith won the Hebb Award for Best Oral Presentation for her talk entitled “Does ‘the pill’ predict attention? The relation between oral contraceptive use and sustained attention” at CSBBCS in Halifax last month.
Megan Kelly received Hebb Award Honourable Mentions for both her Oral Presentation entitled “The prod eff: Partially producing items moderates the production effect” and her Poster entitled “Evidence that individuals modulate study effort consistent with anticipated environmental support” at CSBBCS in Halifax last month.
This is the second year in a row where Waterloo Psych students received 3/4 of the student awards at CSBBCS!
