The CMHR would like to congratulate Dr. Lynette Eulette, Clinical Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Psychology, on her recent election to the role of College Council President of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.  The Council is the governing body of the profession’s regulatory body in the province and it sets policy and provides leadership and direction to the profession.

In recent years, Dr. Eulette has been the representative for District 2 (Southwest Ontario) on Council and has served 6 of its committees during that time.  On June 17th, she was elected by the members of the College Council as its President for the next year.

According to Dr. Eulette, “as our society changes with technological advances and a growing multicultural population, it seems clear that we will need to think carefully about how we provide services ethically and effectively.”  She added “the important issues that are currently before the College, such as updating our Standards of Professional Conduct, will impact providers of psychological services, and is an opportunity to promote high quality services to individuals, institutions, and communities.”
