Congratulations to Henry Adam Svec, professor in Communication Arts, whose short film "The Wreck of Harold Murphy," directed and co-produced by Erin Brandenburg (BA '01), will be featured at the 2025 Forest City Film Festival (FCFF) as part of the Shorts Program: Artists Unbound.

The 21-minute short film was shot on location on Pelee Island during the late summer of 2023. It tells the story of Harold Murphy who, while facing the reality of failing to achieve fame and success as a singer-songwriter, seeks solace in a remote cabin with the hope of rekindling his emotional and creative spark.

The FCFF is a Canadian Academy-qualifying festival that shines a spotlight on the art of cinema through a regional lens, connecting Southwestern Ontario to national and global stories. "The Wreck of Harold Murphy" will be screened on Saturday, October 25 at 10AM at the Wolf Performance Hall in London, Ontario.
