First-year Students

Welcome to the Faculty of Arts! We are very excited for you to start your post-secondary journey with us and we want to make sure you have the information you need to be successful in your first year.

Below you will find information about course selection for your program, including what courses to take, when to request them, and how to contact your academic advisor if you have questions.

Course selection takes place in July and your advisors are available to assist you.

Throughout first year, be sure to take advantage of the University's Student Success Office and the workshops they offer, the Writing and Communications Centre, as well as connecting with the Arts Student Union and Societies within the Faculty.
