Health Sciences admission requirements for Ontario university students
Program requirements
- Biology 4U -- A minimum grade of 70 is required
- Chemistry 4U -- A minimum grade of 70 is required
- Any Grade 12 U English -- A minimum grade of 70 is required
- Any Grade 12 U Mathematics -- A minimum grade of 70 is required
Admission average
- Regular system of study: minimum average 70%
- Co-op system of study: minimum average 80%
Transfer credits
If you receive an offer of admission, we'll assess you for possible transfer credit using the course outlines (syllabi) you provided. The transfer credit you receive will depend on when you took the course, the course content, and the grade you earned in the course. You can receive up to 10.0 units (equivalent to 20 courses) towards your Waterloo degree. Please refer to our
transfer credit policies for further information.
General requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six Grade 12 U or M courses, including all required courses.
- Grade 12 U or M courses must be completed through schools that are accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
- Admission averages depend on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available. The range listed above is based on previous years.
