The Accessibility Committee has put together a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (MYAP) for the University of Waterloo. Creating and maintaining a campus that is welcoming for everyone impacts students, staff and faculty. The MYAP is an on-going initiative that will require continued collaboration to ensure that accessibility considerations are embedded within the University’s culture. It is intended to support and align with our commitments under Policy 58: Accessibility and meet our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Human Resources is dedicated to providing quality service through an improved website to increase client satisfaction. All employees (Faculty, Staff, CUPE, retirees) are invited to join a User Experience Research Group to participate in any or all of the following: surveys, questionnaires, observational research, and usability testing. If you’re interested in participating, please register to join the User Experience Research Group. Lunch will be provided to employees who participate in our observational research and usability testing.
The Ontario government has reinstated the prior public holiday pay formula that pre-dated Bill 148. The old formula should be used again beginning on July 1, 2018 and will continue to be used until December 31st, 2019.
Please be advised that the upcoming Victoria Day holiday will be paid using the Bill 148 calculation. The Canada Day holiday and all holidays until December 31st, 2019 will use the prior ESA calculation.

The group benefits contracts that cover the University of Waterloo’s extended health, dental, long-term disability benefits and life insurance are renewed each May 1.
The rates are effective May 1, 2018 and are provided in the benefit rates section.

2017 T4/T4A tax slips are now available on-line through myHRinfo. Paper copies will be mailed out to those individuals who did not give consent to view their forms on-line. More information on how to check your consent status, give consent, and access your year-end slips on-line can be found on the HR website under Support for employees>Payroll>Payroll self-service>Year-end slips (T4/T4A).
