Why did you choose the University of Waterloo? I have had a more unorthodox university journey than most... UW is actually my third university! I believe I have the unique experience to speak on what truly makes UW a good school, since I can compare it to other schools based on my first-hand experience. I chose UW for numerous reasons, however, I believe the most prominent are the incredible administration team that wants to see you succeed and endless opportunities to get involved in both the school and the community. UW is an organized and credible institution that understands its students and their needs. By offering customizable degrees that cater to what you want to do (even if you're not sure what you want to do yet), Waterloo encourages their students to pursue a degree that they'll both enjoy doing and that will lead to a career that they will succeed in. There are also countless clubs and organizations that you can join that will support your educational journey, or ones that simply offer a new community or fun side hobby!

What do you like most about your program? Personally, I love the flexibility of it. Whether you know exactly what you want to do or you have no idea, my program offers the chance to build your degree how you would like or explore your options.

One more thing about yourself? Sometimes getting involved in clubs, sports, or communities can seem intimidating - but it's in those places that you'll meet people and friends you may not have otherwise met.

I also encourage students reach out to your professors and introduce yourself. Remember they're human too and often love it when they get to know their students. If you're thinking of pursing education past your undergrad, these relationships can also be very beneficial!
