Class of 2026
The committee will select up to three (3) Arts Valedictorians for the Arts convocation ceremonies held in June 2026.
All committee members must attend the in-person Talk-off, which is scheduled for the evening in late March.
Student eligibility
The applicant must have submitted an “Application to Graduate” form for convocation in June 2026 or October 2025 in order to fill one of the six (6) vacant positions on the selection committee.
A student is not eligible to participate in the selection committee if they:
- Have accepted a nomination for valedictorian.
- Have nominated another student for the position of valedictorian.
- Currently hold an executive position on the Arts Student Union (ASU)
Due March 19, 2026, 11:59pm EST
Committee will be finalized by March 20.
Committee composition
The committee will consist of:
- President, Arts Student Union
- Vice-President, Arts Student Union
- President, Accounting and Finance Student Association
- Up to six students from the graduating class
- Associate Dean of Arts, Undergraduate Studies
- Associate Dean of Arts, Undergraduate Programs
- Student Engagement Coordinator, Faculty of Arts
- One Communication Arts faculty member
