Workshop description
As teaching assistants, we aim to establish positive relationships with our undergraduate students. This workshop introduces practical strategies for fostering trust and respect while maintaining boundaries. Participants will explore what rapport means, why it matters, and hear directly from an undergraduate student panel about expectations and experiences. Because approaches differ by course modality—whether in-person or online—we’ll discuss techniques and brainstorm simple, effective strategies to help you build positive working relationships with your undergraduate students throughout the term.
Workshop delivery
This is a live session that will take place in Zoom. The link to the session will be sent to you by email once you register for the workshop through GoSignMeUp.

- Participants will receive an attendance credit towards the Fundamentals program if they stay for the full live session.
Cancellations
This workshop has limited enrolment spots and often has a waiting list. If you have registered but can't attend the workshop, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
