Clickers (CTE726)

Thursday, August 13, 2015 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

One challenge in larger classes is getting everyone to answer questions and to tell how well everyone understands the answers.  Using clickers[1] is one way both instructors and students receive quick feedback to meet that challenge.

This session will introduce what clickers are and different ways of using them in your class.  You will get to try out clickers first hand from both a student and instructor point-of-view to see how easy they are to use.

For a head start on the session, take a look at this short YouTube video about clickers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpAEx2abKBQ.

[1] A clicker is a smart phone app or a small, portable device (like a remote control) that lets every student provide an answer that is collected for instructor and student feedback.
