The Leadership In Faculty Teaching (LIFT) Award was offered only in 2007. It was recognized and encouraged teaching excellence at Ontario's colleges and universities. Winners received $20,000 over two years to encourage continued excellence in the classroom setting. One hundred faculty members from Ontario universities received the award, including two from the University of Waterloo.
