Workshop description for Peer Review and Assessment (CTE711)
One of Chickering and Gamson's well-known principles for good practice in undergraduate education is that students should receive prompt feedback on their work, but does effective feedback have to be provided exclusively by the instructor? In this session we look at some ways that peers can provide feedback to each other in both individual and group settings and enhance their own learning in the process by examining practical solutions that can be integrated into your own course. Aspects of peer assessment and the use of innovative technologies to facilitate peer review and assessment will also be discussed.
