David Zweig, distinguished teaching by a registered student award recipient, 2000

Psychology Department

David Zweig is a second year Ph.D. candidate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  David has provided a variety of teaching services to the Psychology Department.  These include acting as a course instructor, a course manager for a distance education course, a Teaching Assistant, supervising an undergraduate honours thesis student in Management Sciences, assisting graduate students in Management Sciences with activities such as pre-testing experiments, providing advice on survey designs, and consulting on statistical matters.  Dave’s teaching style is casual yet informative.  He has an “intuitive sense of how to deliver material to students at a level that both challenges and stimulates their thinking”.  Dave presents difficult theories to the class by using personal examples and funny stories.  He is able to draw on his considerable consulting and work experiences to help enrich his teaching.  His experience in the field of Organizational Behaviour consulting was beneficial to the students since concepts were explained in terms of real world examples.
