As a Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE) Faculty Liaison, Dr. Kyle Scholz works with instructors in the Faculty of Arts and at the University Colleges to reflect on their teaching, design learning activities, and incorporate blended learning opportunities into their teaching.Kyle obtained his PhD in German from the University of Waterloo, researching digital game-based language learning in extramural learning environments. His other research interests lie in second language development, computer-assisted language learning, and foreign language anxiety. Kyle has taught numerous German language and culture courses at Waterloo, and enjoys finding any opportunity to get back in the classroom and teach, finding ways to incorporate technology into classroom-based and extramural learning environments.
