Cece Henderson is a PhD student in the Combinatorics & Optimization Department within the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, where she studies an area of discrete math called graph theory. She works closely with the UWaterloo Women in Mathematics Committee, where she endeavours to make math a more welcoming community for all.
Cece is also passionate about engaging with students as a presenter through outreach programs such as the Fields Institute’s Ask a Mathematician, Soapbox Science, and as a National Museum of Mathematics MOST Fellow. Through her experience with the Fundamentals of Teaching program in 2026, she strengthened her knowledge of pedagogy, and she is excited to continue building on this foundation as a current participant in the Certificate in University Teaching program.
