As Educational Developer, Research and Consulting, Dr. Kyle Scholz consults with and supports faculty and staff on the design and implementation of pedagogical research. He also chairs the annual University of Waterloo Teaching and Learning Conference, and administers the Learning Innovation and Teaching Enhancement (LITE) grant program. Kyle facilitates many workshops in the Centre for Teaching Excellence, including those on designing and conducting effective teaching and learning research projects, as well as the Instructional Skills Workshop.
Kyle obtained his PhD in German from the University of Waterloo, researching digital game-based language learning in extramural learning environments. His other research interests lie in broader applications of game-based learning, ePortfolios, second language development, and computer-assisted language learning. He also teaches German language courses at Waterloo when the opportunity arises.
