Rodrigo Curty Pereira (he/they) is a Ph.D. candidate in Geography (Water) at the University of Waterloo. He studies the role of civil society organizations collaborating with communities to create solutions to inequities in access to water, sanitation, and hygiene in Brazil. He currently works as a sessional instructor at the University of Waterloo, designing and delivering both graduate and undergraduate courses in global health and the geography of pandemics. Rodrigo has also worked as a Teaching Assistant in courses about research methods and the geography of global economics, besides having experience as a private tutor for students in Primary and Secondary education in various areas of knowledge. He completed the University of Waterloo’s Fundamentals in University Teaching training and is finishing the Certificate in University Teaching program
