As Educational Developer, TA Training, Sam Hossack supports graduate students in their teaching development, through facilitation of the Certificate in University Teaching program and support of the Fundamentals of University Teaching program.
Sam is currently completing her PhD in History at the University of Waterloo, examining government programs in the Canadian Arctic during the Cold War. Their teaching practice explores the history of human rights through affective and active learning pedagogies. Previously, Sam worked at CTE as a Graduate Educational Developer, supporting the Fundamentals and Certificate in University Teaching Programs, and at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching as the Active Learning Classrooms Coordinator, focusing on designing and using physical spaces to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
