WE Accelerate Awards

If you successfully completed WE Accelerate in Winter or Spring 2025, you’re invited to apply for a financial award to support your first co-op experience.

These awards - valued at $2,000 and $2,500 - are generously funded by the Ross and Doris Dixon Charitable Foundation and co-op employer Rippling, both of which are deeply committed to supporting students on their co-op journeys. We understand that every student’s journey is unique, and these awards aim to help reduce financial barriers so you can focus on making the most of your academic and co-op experiences.

Selection is based on:

  • A minimum 70% GPA
  • Your personal statement, describing how this award will support your learning and reduce financial stress.

You’ll need to describe why you decided to pursue this co-op employment, what it means to you and most importantly, how this award will help to remove financial barriers and enhance your learning. We encourage you to reflect thoughtfully and write authentically - your voice and story matter. While AI tools may be helpful in writing, we strongly recommend minimal use, so your statement remains your own.

Award Details & Eligibility

Applications are due by Monday, September 8 at 4 p.m. (ET).

All eligible students who apply will be considered for one of the following awards based on their status:

  • $2,500 Rippling award – For Canadian citizens or permanent residents only
  • $2,000 Ross and Doris Dixon Foundation award – Open to all students, regardless of citizenship

Students will be automatically considered for the award they are eligible for - no separate application is required. The Co-operative & Experiential Education selection committee will review applications and select recipients. Award funding is limited, and only successful applicants will be contacted in September. Funds will be deposited into your Quest account in early fall (may not be in time to be used for Fall tuition).
