Workshop Overview
As life expectancy increases, retirement is no longer just about financial security — it's about preparing for a new chapter of life that goes beyond the traditional notions of rest and relaxation.
Are you ready to start thinking about the non-financial aspects of your retirement?
Join Waterloo alumni Simon Chan (BA ‘98) from Adapt with Intent for a 2.5-hour immersive retirement planning workshop followed by networking on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
This in-person workshop is designed to provide participants with time to reflect on their retirement goals and begin planning holistically, with the goal of thriving in this new era of retirement. The workshop allows participants to reframe how they view retirement, explore how to plan more holistically, and prototype what their next chapter might look like.
After piloting this program twice, we are excited to offer it again after receiving a 95% recommendation rating from participants and comments like this one:
“The information was excellent, and the format engaging. Having to work through a timeframe really brought into focus the need to think and plan a lifestyle and day-to-day living in retirement.”
