Ontario Ministry of Labour updates "What you need to know" poster

The Ontario Ministry of Labour has revised the contents of their “What you need to know” poster in accordance with updates to the Employment Standards Act. As a result, employers are required to ensure the following:

  1. All employees in Ontario who are covered by ESA must receive a copy of the poster from their employer:

              a. Employers must provide all current employees with a

                  copy of version 7.0 of the poster

              b. New employees hired must be given a copy of the

                   poster within 30 days of their date of hire.

  1. Employers are required to post the most recent version of the ESA poster where it is likely to be seen by employees.
