Workday: Frequently Asked Questions

Workday, the new HR system for the University of Waterloo launched on Monday. With the transition to the brand new system, the Support Centre is receiving a high volume of inquiries and is working quickly to respond. If you haven’t received a response, we appreciate your patience and will get back to you as soon as possible. View some frequently asked questions that have come up.

For the third year in a row, the University of Waterloo was recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers (2019) and Waterloo Area's Top Employers (2019). The recipients of the national annual award were announced in The Globe and Mail on November 9th. The University was recognized for striving to be not only one of the most innovative universities in the world, but also one of the most employee-focused.  

The Accessibility Committee has put together a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (MYAP) for the University of Waterloo. Creating and maintaining a campus that is welcoming for everyone impacts students, staff and faculty. The MYAP is an on-going initiative that will require continued collaboration to ensure that accessibility considerations are embedded within the University’s culture. It is intended to support and align with our commitments under Policy 58: Accessibility and meet our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

2017 T4/T4A tax slips are now available

2017 T4/T4A tax slips are now available on-line through myHRinfo. Paper copies will be mailed out to those individuals who did not give consent to view their forms on-line. More information on how to check your consent status, give consent, and access your year-end slips on-line can be found on the HR website under Support for employees>Payroll>Payroll self-service>Year-end slips (T4/T4A).

Additional functionality has been added to myHRinfo to enable individuals to complete their TD1 tax credit forms on-line through self-service in myHRinfo. This functionality allows users to view the status of their current submission, have a history of any previous submissions and receive a confirmation e-mail when the submission has been processed. An additional login is required for e-signature purposes after the submit button has been clicked to confirm the submission is accurate.
