Paying Graduate Students

The employee in each department/unit who is responsible for coordination and administration of payments for graduate students needs to be granted access to the grad earnings data entry system. To request access, the employee’s manager must send an email to hrhelp@uwaterloo.ca with the following information:

  • Name and employee ID number and/or username of the individual requiring access
  • The department number (organizational unit) for which access is needed

Please grant access to the Grad Earnings Data Entry System for John Doe (jdoe, 999999) for org unit 5330 – Human Resources

Entry access will only be granted to regular on-going employees or temporary employees on a contract of at least one year. Access will not be provided to graduate students or casual employees.

To provide coverage and avoid missed deadlines in the event of vacation or illness, each department should have at least two employees with the access and training required to enter grad earnings.
