Thinking about the future helps overcome relationship conflicts, according to a University of Waterloo study just published online in Social Psychological and Personality Science.

It's been called a craze, obsession or a mania. People around the world have gone Pokemon hunting, leading to all kinds of bizarre headlines about pokemon-inspired crime and injuries. So what's behind this trend?
Researchers at the University of Waterloo have been awarded a grant of $8.8 million from the U.S. National Cancer Institute to evaluate the public-health impact of government policies to regulate tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and other vaporized nicotine products.




Clinical graduate students were strong representatives of the Department of Psychology at this year’s National Annual Convention of the Canadian Psychological Association held earlier in June in Victoria, BC.

Annually, an award valued at $750.00 is provided to a graduating undergraduate student enrolled in any program at the University of Waterloo. Selection are based on academic excellence, prior research experience related to child language development, and a demonstrated commitment to future postgraduate study in the area of child language development. No application is required. This fund is made possible by a donation from Knowledge in Development Inc.
This year, the award was given to two recipients.
